Get ready for Glory of Heracles

Glory of Heracles has been shipped out today for the Nintendo DS. It’s the fifth installment in the Glory of Heracles series, a Greek mythology themed classic turn based RPG. Although it’s the first game to come out since the fourth one did on the Super Famicon in 1994. That’s right, Super Famicon. Not only has there not been a game a long ass time, but it’s also the first to be released in the US. But not only are we late to the whole franchise, but the newest DS game too as it’s been out in Japan since May 22nd of 2008. The game was developed by Paon and published by Nintendo. Paon also did DK: King of Swing, DK: Jungle Climber, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, and the Klanoa game on the Wii. I’m not 100% sure what the story is about at this second, but I do know it was written by Kazushige Nojima. He’s only been the scenario writer/supervisor on games like Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X, X-2, XIII, Crisis Core, Advent Children, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Chain of Memories, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. So needless to say he really hasn’t done much yet.

As soon as I can get my hands on this game I’ll be playing it, and you’ll be able to see that if you go to the Live Feed page while I’m playing. Or if I’m not on there’s a link on that page for archives where you can watch previous broadcasts. I myself am very excited to start playing this game, I hope everyone else is too because it looks like a great classic RPG. I’ll also update this page with a quick preview of the first 15 minutes of the game.
