Blur beta 3/8

Blur is a racing game made by Bizarre Creations coming out in a few months, but there is a beta starting Monday, March 8th, that I got into. You’ll be able to see me playing the game live, and I’ll also be back here later in the week to give my impressions on the game. So far what I know about the game is it’s a cross of one of Bizarre Creations other games, Project Gotham Racing, and Mario Kart. It’s car simulation meets kart racing. From everything I’ve seen and heard the game seems pretty interesting. It’s got the classic items like a seeking missile, 3 shot smaller missiles, mines, speed boosts, shields, all the stuff you’d expect in a kart racer. Except these are cool looking lights and obs and such rather than looking like a missile or mine. That big red thing in the picture above is called the shunt (might be the mine?), that’s the seeking projectile (like the red shell). So that gives you kind of an idea what things look like.
